About this Award
Generous with his time, knowledge and experiences, Jérôme first obtained two degrees in Engineering from l'Institut Catholique des Arts et Métiers and l'École Supérieure d'Électricité, in Paris. After which, he moved to the United States where he obtained his M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon, followed by his Ph.D. in Systems Science also from Carnegie-Mellon in 1972.
In 2005, the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa, in collaboration with friends and supporters of Dr. Jérôme Doutriaux, honoured his thirty-one year legacy and his contributions to education by establishing the Jérôme Doutriaux Scholarship at Canada's University.
Jérôme is a man of great integrity, ethics and compassion with a profound sense of service to others. This scholarship was created in his honour and to reward individuals who exhibit similar qualities.
The donors wish to thank the Government of Ontario who helped create this fund through their generous matching contribution.
