About this Award

This fund was created by the Organizing Committee of the University of Ottawa Protection Services Golf Tournament, 1999 edition, in memory of Robert J. Desnoyers, who was a member of Protection Services. Robert J. Desnoyers got his first job at the University of Ottawa in August 1983 at Parking and Traffic. In 1989, he was promoted Patrol Officer and he filled that position until 1994. He then became inspector for a few months prior to his appointment as Chief of Operations. In 1999 at age 48 and few weeks before he passed away, Robert was named Assistant Director for Protection Services. He is survived by his wife France Desnoyers, a University of Ottawa employee, and his son Yves, graduate of the University.

The donors thank the Government of Ontario who helped create this fund through its generous matching contributions.
