About this Award
This fund was established by Catherine and Jean-Pierre Soublière, both University of Ottawa's alumni. Ms. Soublière obtained her BScN in 1972 and Mr. Soublière, a member of the Board of Governors in the year this fund was created (1997), obtained his BCom in 1967. Inspiration for this initiative came from the Joint Chair of Women's Studies Program (1991-1996), Greta Hoffman-Nemiroff, as part of her encouragement to women to pass the torch to others. The donors thank the Government of Ontario, which helped to create this fund through its generous matching contribution.
