Purpose of this Award

Recognize students (undergraduate or graduate) at the Faculty of Engineering who have demonstrated exceptional technical hands-on skills and seek to further develop their leadership skills.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student
  2. be registered as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate program at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ottawa
  3. be in good academic standing
  4. demonstrate exceptional hands-on technical skills
  5. demonstrate the desire to develop their leadership skills by working part-time or full-time during the academic year as a member of the management team of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Engineering Design or one of its design spaces
Note: should the recipient leave his/her position before the end of the academic year, his/her award could be partially or entirely revoked.

How to Apply

Candidates must apply directly to the department.

The list of available positions will be sent to all students in the faculty by email at least one week before the deadline every year.

Applications must be made to the contact, and should include: 

1. a two-page curriculum vitae

2. a one-page cover letter. 

The applicant's letter must: 

a. specify the position(s) for which he/she is applying

b. highlight his/her leadership experience and its relevance to the job posted.
