Purpose of this Award
Award a scholarship to a student who is voluntarily involved in an action in service of the University of Ottawa, without
any monetary reward. Specifically, the scholarship will reward a student who has made an outstanding contribution to
the socio-cultural or athletic life, or to the quality of the student experience outside the classroom.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student
- be registered as a full-time student at the University of Ottawa
- have completed a minimum of 10 hours of volunteering
- have demonstrated community involvement on campus, specifically a contribution to the socio-cultural and athletic life, or to the quality of student experience outside the classroom
- have demonstrated leadership and initiative in working and collaborating with others
How to Apply
Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:
- proof that the applicant has completed at least 10 hours of volunteering
- a letter of reference from a service or an association that has benefited from the applicant's volunteer work
