Purpose of this Award

Award a scholarship to a student who is voluntarily involved in an action in service of the University of Ottawa, without any monetary reward. Specifically, the scholarship will reward a student who has made an outstanding contribution to the socio-cultural or athletic life, or to the quality of the student experience outside the classroom.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student
  2. be registered as a full-time student at the University of Ottawa
  3. have completed a minimum of 10 hours of volunteering
  4. have demonstrated community involvement on campus, specifically a contribution to the socio-cultural and athletic life, or to the quality of student experience outside the classroom
  5. have demonstrated leadership and initiative in working and collaborating with others

How to Apply

Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:

  1. proof that the applicant has completed at least 10 hours of volunteering
  2. a letter of reference from a service or an association that has benefited from the applicant's volunteer work
