Purpose of this Award

Provide financial assistance to selected undergraduate and graduate students to register for and to travel to conferences.


Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. the candidates must be undergraduate or graduate students who are registered full-time in their program and presenting their data at the conference
  2. it must be an international conference for graduate students and a national or provincial conference for undergraduate students
Note : Applications must include a cover letter indicating the importance of the conference to their research, cv, academic transcripts, conference abstract and letter of acceptance.

  1. a cover letter indicating the importance of the conference to their research
  2. the Curriculum Vitae on Online Scholarships and Bursaries
  3. a copy of the applicant’s academic transcript
  4. the conference abstract and letter of acceptance

About this Award

The Médéric Montpetit fund has been established by the School of Human Kinetics in memory of Rev. Médéric Montpetit, (o.m.i. - 1992), whose boundless energy and timeless efforts led to the establishment of the Institute of Physical Education in 1949.

 

Reverend Montpetit was appointed the School's first director. His accelerated efforts assured the School's immediate success and set it on a path of continuing growth. The School of Human Kinetics now thrives in a complex built in 1970 and named in honour of Reverend Montpetit.
