About this Award

This fund was established in March 2004 with a gift of $25,000 given by Mrs. Inge Kramer in memory of her daughter Ms. Angela Kramer. It is Mrs. Kramer’s wish to provide a lasting tribute to her daughter who suffered a thrombosis in 2003, in the hope that future students will assist in finding ways to eradicate the or finding solutions to allow those that suffer a thrombosis to enjoy their life to the fullest.

Mrs. Kramer established two funds at the University of Ottawa in memory of her daughter Angela who suddenly passed away on March 12, 2003 at the age of 52. Angela Kramer joined the Morisset Library of the University of Ottawa as a librarian/specialist in 1975. She worked closely with professors and students of the School of Management and the Faculty of Social Sciences. Ms. Kramer was a specialist in economics, management, criminology and human kinetics, and more recently, in environmental studies and geography.

The donor wishes to thank the Government of Ontario who helped create this fund through their generous matching contribution.
