Purpose of this Award

Provide financial assistance to an undergraduate student registered to the MD program at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa whose education would otherwise be compromised.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a person with the protected/refugee status
  2. be registered as a full-time undergraduate student to the MD program at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa
  3. be an Ontario resident, as per OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) rules
  4. demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa

How to Apply

Multiple Awards Program

To be considered for this award, candidates must apply to Multiple Financial Need Bursaries - MD Program (99931).

Applications must be submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:

  1. the Financial Questionnaire
In the case of multiple candidates meeting the base requirements, the selection committee will select the recipient based on the award policies and standard criteria used by the Faculty of Medicine and the Financial Aid and Awards Service at the time of selection.
