Purpose of this Award

To assist undergraduate students enrolled in the MD program at the Faculty of Medicine.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with protected/refugee status or an international student
  2. be enrolled as a full-time student in the undergraduate MD program with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa
  3. demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa

About this Award

This bursary was created by Dr. Donald T. Jolly to honour the memory of his beloved parents, who endured the Great Depression and the Second World War. Through their sacrifice and perseverance, they ensured that their children and grandchildren would have the opportunities that they had been denied. This bursary is to commemorate their resilience and continue their legacy.
