Purpose of this Award

To provide financial assistance to undergraduate students residing in Quebec who are registered in the Faculty of Medicine.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be registered as a full-time undergraduate student at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa
  2. be a Canadian citizen
  3. be a Quebec resident
  4. demonstrate the greatest financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa
  5. demonstrate academic excellence

About this Award

This scholarship honours the memory of Jacques Robichon, MD, MSc, FRCS(C), and was initiated by his son Georges Robichon (B.A. 1969, LL.B. 1972). Dr. Robichon was a professor in the University of Ottawa's Department of Orthopedic Surgery and was named Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Medicine in 1966.

A similar scholarship, the Jacques G. Robichon MD Scholarship, was created by Dr. Robichon's wife Marion H. Robichon, and their children Georges Robichon (B.A. 1969, LL.B. 1972), Joanne Curran (BScN. 1974), Lina RobichonHunt (BSc. 1976) and Jacques Robichon (BAdm. 1978). It is offered to Faculty of Medicine students who are Ontario residents.
