Purpose of this Award

To provide financial assistance to undergraduate students registered at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section at the University of Ottawa who have a physical, psychological or learning disability.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, person with the protected/refugee status or an international student
  2. be registered as a full-time undergraduate student (or have full-time equivalent status) at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa
  3. be in good academic standing
  4. be a student who has a physical, psychological or learning disability
  5. demonstrate a commitment to disability rights

How to Apply

Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:

  1. an attestation of disability status from a doctor or a health professional
  2. a letter from the applicant (max. 500 word) detailing his/her commitment to disability rights
