Purpose of this Award
The Norton Rose Fulbright Canada Scholarship is awarded to a 1L
Common Law student in the English or French program who demonstrates academic
excellence and demonstrates a sense of team spirit.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with protected or refugee status, or an international student
- be registered as a full-time JD student in first year at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, at the University of Ottawa, in the English or French program
- demonstrate academic excellence
- demonstrate a sense of team spirit by working in partnership with students and professors alike within the Faculty
How to Apply
Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:
- a letter from the applicant on the topic of how his/her interactions with faculty and fellow students demonstrate his/her commitment to team spirit (maximum 300 words)
Once first year grades
are available, the Common Law Section will invite all students who have
completed the first year of the JD program within the top 10% of the class to
apply for this award.
