Purpose of this Award
Award a scholarship to a student entering the first year of the JD Program at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa, who demonstrates an interest in equity or human rights.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student
- be admitted full-time into the first year of the JD program at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa
- demonstrate an interest in equity or human rights

The recipient will be chosen by the selection committee based on the documents provided with the application for admission into the JD program. In the case that multiple candidates meet the base requirements, the selection committee will decide upon the recipient based upon the award policies and standard criteria employed by the Common Law Section at the time of selection.
