About this Award

This scholarship is generously funded by Evident, previously known as the Carsen Group.* Evident aims to continue empowering scientists and researchers through collaboration and cutting-edge life science solutions.

In conjunction with Carsen Group’s involvement in the expansion of both the Biosciences Complex and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Carsen established two awards for an outstanding student, one each in the Biology and in the Earth and Environmental Sciences departments.

Evident wishes to thank the Government of Ontario for its matching contributions through the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund program.

* Carsen Group was acquired by Olympus Canada in 2005. In 2022, Olympus announced the completion of the transfer of its scientific solutions business to a wholly-owned subsidiary, Evident.
