Purpose of this Award

To provide financial assistance to deserving full-time students pursuing an Honours BA in Greek and Roman Studies within the Department of Classics and Religious Studies of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a person with the protected/refugee status
  2. be a full-time student registered in the Honours BA in Greek and Roman Studies at the Faculty of Arts. Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in the LCL courses
  3. be an Ontario resident as per OSAP regulations
  4. demonstrate financial need, according to the criteria established by the Financial Aid and Awards Service
  5. demonstrate academic excellence

About this Award

The scholarship fund was created through a gift from the Estate of Cyril Rosenberg in honour of Lazarus Rosenberg. The Estate seeks to honour the late Lazarus Rosenberg's profound appreciation of the classics, through fostering their study at the University of Ottawa.
