Purpose of this Award

To provide financial assistance to undergraduate students in need within the Faculty of Science.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be registered as a full-time student in the Faculty of Science at the University of Ottawa;
  2. be an Ontario resident, as per OSAP [2] rules;
  3. demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa; and
  4. demonstrate involvement in university activities (i.e: sports, clubs, associations) and/or acts of volunteerism.
Note: Preference will be given to students from Northern Ontario.

About this Award

Comsatec Inc. is a privately held, independent Canadian company, active in the energy sector since 1988. Their core business is energy management which includes consulting for industrial and large commercial operations in the procurement management of natural gas and electricity. This fund is being created to help fund students who are studying in the Faculty of Science. Comsatec Inc. wishes to thank the Government of Ontario who helped create this fund through their generous matching contributions.
