About this Award
On January 28, 2008, Emily Ann McDonald (née Sukey), a RN and a 2007 graduate of the University of Ottawa's BScN program, passed away suddenly at the age of 31. Devoted, caring and compassionate, she had little time to apply her nursing skills and never got her chance to demonstrate her full potential. Emily was adored by her family and friends.
This scholarship fund was established to preserve her legacy and to encourage others to devote themselves to the nursing profession. The donors thank the Government of Ontario who helped create this fund through its generous matching contributions.
