Purpose of this Award
To provide financial assistance to deserving undergraduate students registered to at least one course in Italian Studies at the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, and whose studies might otherwise be compromised.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a person with the protected/refugee status
- be registered as an undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa
- be registered, at the time of application, in at least one course in Italian Studies at the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures
- be an Ontario resident, as per OSAP rules
- demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa
- have a minimum CGPA of 8.0

- the Financial Questionnaire
- an unofficial copy of the applicant's University of Ottawa transcript
About this Award
This fund was established in 1997 by Leonard G. Sbrocchi during his tenure as Professor at the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Professor Sbrocchi has been teaching for more than twenty years at the University of Ottawa. The donor thanks the Alumni Association of the University of Ottawa and the Government of Ontario for their matching contributions.
