About this Award
Dr. David M. Bishop, during his tenure as Professor at the Department of Chemistry, established this fund in memory of Jean-Louis Roustan. Jean-Louis Roustan was appointed to the Department of Chemistry in 1976 and promoted to Associate Professor in 1980. He died tragically and prematurely in September 1992. He was a unique individual with a vivacious personality which entranced all. His enthusiasm for chemistry made him an inspiring teacher and students in his courses considered themselves privileged.
