Purpose of this Award
To support an undergraduate student at the Telfer School of Management in financial need.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with protected or refugee status, or an international student
- be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa.
- demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa
- demonstrate academic excellence

About this Award
Brian J. Saxe (BCom ’73, CPA, CA) is a proud graduate of the Telfer School of Management and a loyal donor who has given back to the University of Ottawa and the Telfer school for the last 35 years. This scholarship is a joyful expression of Brian’s dedication towards the mission of the school, and his proclivity for supporting those in financial need, to provide the tools and resources to help them achieve their goals.
A passionate entrepreneur, Brian ran an independent accounting practice in Toronto for many years before merging with MNP’s assurance and accounting team and serving as a business adviser. His expertise is in helping small to medium sized businesses with all aspects of their operations, from financing to day-to-day activities. He taught accounting for many years at Seneca College.
Brian credits his attention to personal relationships and client service with having helped him build and maintain his business.
