Purpose of this Award
To provide assistance to students who work as student mentors in a faculty at the University of Ottawa.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with protected or refugee status, or an international student
- be enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Ottawa
- not be a resident of Ontario, as per OSAP rules
- demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa
- work as a student mentor in a faculty at the University of Ottawa
- demonstrate strong academic, leadership and coaching skills
How to Apply
Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:
- the Financial Questionnaire
- a non-official copy of the applicant’s transcript
- a letter (max. 500 words) from the applicant describing the experience as a mentor
- the Curriculum Vitae on Online Scholarships and Bursaries
- a letter of reference in support of the applicant that mentions at least one of the following: academics, leadership or coaching
