About this Award
Since 2011, employees working in Human Resources at the University of Ottawa have participated in the
Employee Giving program by donating to a scholarship sponsored by the University of Ottawa Human
Resources team. Luc Lauzière was the Manager, Pension Programs when this scholarship was created and
he volunteered to participate in, and later coordinate, the Human Resources program that funds this
scholarship. Moreover, in 2013, he began serving as a member of the program's board. Luc worked at
Human Resources for 18 years and was Associate Director, Pension Plans, when he died on April 18, 2016.
In recognition of his involvement in, and dedication to, this worthy cause, the scholarship has been renamed
in his memory.
