Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person of protected/refugee status or an international student;
- be registered as a full-time student in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ottawa;
- participate in an international exchange or internship of a minimum of one semester, or a field research course (minimum 3 weeks); and
- be in good academic standing.

Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:
- a letter from the applicant explaining his/her intention and motivation to participate in an international exchange or internship, or in a field research course.
About this Award
The C.D. Howe Memorial Foundation Scholarship for Student International Exchange was created to help strengthen the University of Ottawa's ability to financially assist its best students in the Faculty of Social Sciences who require international experience to complete their education. This experience can be gained through international internships, exchanges or field research courses. The donor organization thanks the Faculty of Social Sciences and the University of Ottawa for their generous contributions toward the scholarship fund.
