About this Award
It is widely known that students who invest their time and are actively involved in the community enhance their
academic experience and advance their leadership skills. Such students are also most likely to excel later in their careers
and become active participants in the community. To this end, the Faculty of Engineering Alumni Leadership
Scholarships reward students who demonstrate community service and/or leadership in extracurricular activities, while
maintaining acceptable grades or better. These prestigious awards will be presented annually to one male and one
female engineering or computer science student entering their second, third or fourth year of undergraduate study. Such
awards encourage students to give back to their communities today, shaping the community leaders of tomorrow.
This fund was initiated through a contribution from the Engineering Students Society and supported by donations from alumni.
