About this Award
This fund was established in 2001 by Carmen Jérome, a 40-year career Advancement Services records specialist, to attract and assist the best student workers. It was renamed in 2023 in memory of Frédéric Grignon, former manager of advancement records, who passed away unexpectedly on January 31 after 30 years of service to the University of Ottawa. Fred donated significantly to this fund, as he believed strongly in the mission of uOttawa, the impact of Advancement Services on the University, and the University’s positive influence on the lives of students and alumni.
