Purpose of this Award

To award scholarships to deserving Faculty of Science students.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with protected or refugee status, or an international student
  2. be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Science of the University of Ottawa
  3. be enrolled for the upcoming Fall term
  4. demonstrate excellence in undergraduate research at the University of Ottawa
  5. be in good academic standing

How to Apply

Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:

  1. a letter from the applicant (min. 250 words) describing the potential research contributions of their project, and what they have learned from their experience
  2. an unofficial copy of the applicant’s transcrip
  3. a letter of reference from the supervising professor, along with contact information

About this Award

These funds were established in 2003 by the Science Students’ Association in accordance with the results of its 2002 referendum. These scholarships are to be made available for Faculty of Science undergraduate students.
