Purpose of this Award

To award scholarships to deserving Faculty of Science students.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with protected or refugee status, or an international student
  2. be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Science of the University of Ottawa
  3. be enrolled for the upcoming Fall term
  4. demonstrate involvement with any uOttawa sports club or team (intramural or varsity)
  5. be in good academic standing

How to Apply

Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:

  1. an unofficial copy of the applicant’s transcript
  2. a letter of recommendation from the coach of the applicant’s team
  3. a letter from the applicant (max. 250 words) describing their level of involvement with any uOttawa sports club or team (for example, hours of practice, competitions they have attended)

About this Award

These funds were established in 2003 by the Science Students’ Association in accordance with the results of its 2002 referendum. These scholarships are to be made available for Faculty of Science undergraduate students.
