Purpose of this Award

To provide financial assistance to a student who has completed at least one year of full-time studies in the Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree program at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, and who has been actively involved in the Entrepreneurs' Club.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. have completed at least one year of full-time studies in the Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) program at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa
  2. be registered in the second, third or fourth year of the program
  3. be an active member of the Entrepreneurs’ Club

How to Apply

Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:

  1. a 250-word essay from the applicant explaining their involvement with the Entrepreneurial club and why they merit this award. This essay will be addressed to the President of the Entrepreneurial Club

About this Award

This award has been established at the Telfer School of Management in memory of Kevin Vollett by his family and friends. Kevin Vollett had just completed the first year of a B.Comm (Hons) at the University of Ottawa when he died at the age of 19 as a result of an accident in August 1993. His dedication and perseverance for success in the field of business was evident in every aspect of his life. Kevin Vollett held the position of Vice-President of External Affairs in the Entrepreneurs' Club.
