Purpose of this Award

To support international undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be an international student;
  2. be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ottawa; and
  3. demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa.

About this Award

This scholarship is named in honour of two parents who sent their son to study in Canada, a place they had never even visited, opening a pathway for life that would otherwise have been impossible. They sacrificed to create better opportunities for the next generation in their family and the donor hopes that the recipient of this scholarship will consider creating something similar over the course of their career, paying forward what was started back in 2004.
