Purpose of this Award

To support undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program at the University of Ottawa who demonstrate both financial need and academic excellence.   

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
  2. be enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program at the University of Ottawa.
  3. demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa
  4. have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 7.0

About this Award

The donor who has initiated this scholarship has a long, multigenerational connection to the University of Ottawa. Four members of the donor’s family are proud uOttawa alumni, representing the faculties of Education, Science and Social Sciences, along with the Telfer School of Management. One family member also served as a University professor.  

Motivated by a commitment to community well-being and a desire to support future health leaders, the donor established this scholarship to assist students in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program who demonstrate strong academic performance, financial need and a genuine interest in community health and community-based practice.
