Purpose of this Award

The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support to students entering third year of an undergraduate business program. The scholarship is available every two years.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
  2. be a student entering his/her third year of program leading to an undergraduate degree in business administration or management studies
  3. have an excellent academic standing (at least an A average)
  4. must have demonstrated interest and involvement in international management studies (This may include participation in an organization such as AIESEC)

How to Apply

Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:

  1. a copy of the applicant’s academic transcript
  2. a letter of reference from a University of Ottawa professor
  3. a short text (250 words maximum) explaining the benefits of receiving this scholarship

About this Award

The Donald H. Lander Scholarship was established in 1993 in honour of the Chairman of Canada Post Corporation on the occasion of his appointment to the Order of Canada. This scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship for students entering their third year of a business program and is administered by the Community Foundation of Ottawa.
