Purpose of this Award

Award a scholarship to a newly admitted undergraduate student at the Telfer School of Management.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student
  2. be admitted as a full-time student in an undergraduate program at the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa
  3. demonstrate academic excellence
Note: The selected recipient will receive their scholarship once they are registered at the University of Ottawa.

About this Award

This scholarship was generously created by Ms. Christine Kincaid, BCom '84, and Mr. James Saint, BCom '82.

Christine Kincaid is an advertising, branding and communications professional with over 30 years of experience since her graduation from the University of Ottawa with an honours commerce degree. Her company, Mediaplus Advertising, is one of the leading full-service advertising, branding and interactive agencies in Eastern Ontario, with clients across all sectors of the economy. Beyond her work in advertising, Christine is active in the community, with a focus on young people through her work with Girl Guides of Canada and the Telfer School of Management, serving as a mentor for the latter. Her commitment to the community was recognized by the Telfer school, from which she received the Dean's Philos Award in 2017.

 Christine's husband, Jim Saint, also a University of Ottawa commerce graduate, runs his own successful business as well. J.R. Saint & Associates is a respected financial services brokerage firm focused on providing clients with trusted advice and retirement planning. Along with his significant contributions to his profession as a board member of the Estate Planning Council, Jim has been an active supporter of young people in our community as a convener and coach in local baseball and hockey youth leagues. 

Christine and Jim have two children.
