About this Award
At the University of Ottawa, Francophones make up a third of the student population. With much higher
tuition fees in Ontario than in Québec, the greater costs often discourage French-speaking students from
enrolling at uOttawa. Created through a generous donation by Mr. Ian Telfer, the Fleur de Lys Scholarship
Fund aims to lighten the financial burden of francophone students at the Telfer School of Management, while
encouraging and supporting the activities and programs offered by the Faculty. The creation of this
admission scholarship fund is in the spirit of the vision 2010 objectives to increase enrollment of francophone
students at the Telfer School of Management by 35%, while supporting promising students within the Faculty.
The donor thanks the University of Ottawa who helped create this fund.
