Purpose of this Award

This prize is awarded to a student enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing program at the Faculty of Health Sciences who demonstrates both a special interest in tertiary health care and in academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student
  2. be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in the Master of Science in Nursing, either enrolled in course NSG 5615/5215 or NSG 5616/5216
  3. demonstrate an interest in tertiary health care
  4. demonstrate academic excellence

How to Apply

Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:

  1. a letter (max. 500 words) demonstrating the applicant’s interest in tertiary health care
  2. an unofficial copy of the transcript

About this Award

This endowment fund was established by Jean Jenny (RN, BScN (Ed) ’67 (uOttawa), MEd ’72 (uOttawa), MScN (UCSF)). Mrs. Jenny was a professor (full professorship attained in 1993) at the School of Nursing of the University of Ottawa for over 20 years.
