Purpose of this Award
To assist graduate students enrolled in the physical geography program with thesis in the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics of the Faculty of Arts.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a person with protected/refugee status
- be enrolled as a full-time student in the physical geography program with thesis in the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa
- demonstrate academic excellence
- demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa
- be a resident of Ontario, as per OSAP rules
- have completed less than two years (if enrolled in the master’s program) or less than four years (if enrolled in the PhD program) at the time of application
How to Apply
Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:
- the Financial Questionnaire
- a non-official copy of the applicant’s transcript
- a text from the applicant (max. 250 words) summarizing their thesis research on physical geography, as part of their program
