Purpose of this Award

To support a third or fourth year PhD student in the Digital Transformation and Innovation (DTI) program of the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa who has successfully defended their PhD proposal.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with protected or refugee status, or an international student
  2. be enrolled as a full-time third or fourth year doctoral student in DTI program of the University of Ottawa supervised by a Telfer School of Management professor
  3. have successfully defended their PhD proposal
  4. demonstrate the potential impact of their research
Note: Preference will be given to applicants who have not received a Telfer DTI admission scholarship or other internal Telfer funding during the DTI program.

How to Apply

Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:

  1. confirmation that the applicant has successfully defended their PhD proposal (e.g., a copy of their transcripts must be included, official or unofficial)
  2. an updated CV
  3. a letter (max. 500 words) demonstrating the potential impact of their thesis research
