About this Award
The Kiwanis Club of Orleans has established this scholarship fund in honour of their friend Walter Faigan, who passed
away on March 13, 2008 after a long battle with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Walter Faigan was a Kiwanis Club member
from 1989. The Kiwanis Club established this fund with the support of the Division of Haematology of the University of
Ottawa's Faculty of Medicine. The fund is intended to support advances in haematological research conducted by graduate
students within the Faculty.
The donors wish to thank the University of Ottawa who helped create this fund through their generous matching contribution.
