Purpose of this Award
To assist a student entering the MHA program who demonstrates financial need and plans to pursue a career in
the health-care field.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a person with protected/refugee status
- be admitted into the MHA program at the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa
- be an Ontario resident, as per OSAP rules
- demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa
- submit a letter detailing why they believe they are an ideal candidate and how they will contribute to the health-care field in the future
How to Apply
Submitted in the Online Scholarship and Bursaries portal, accessible via uoZone, and must include:
- the Financial Questionnaire
- a letter (max. 500 words) explaining how the applicant plans to contribute to the health-care field in the future
About this Award
The Jack Kitts / MHA Alumni Association Admission Bursary fund was established in 2002 by the MHA Alumni
Executive Committee. The many generous contributions to the fund are a reflection of the reputation of the MHA
program and its ability to develop effective health services leaders. The donor organization thanks the
Government of Ontario, which helped create this fund through its generous matching contributions.
